Marie Butler is currently a columnist for the Sonoma County Gazette. Former columnist for The Healdsburg Tribune, 2004-2022. She has written stories and articles for various publications.
She is the author of The Caretakers - A Sonoma County Mystery (March, 2025), and Herbie - A Toy's Adventure in Healdsburg.

A contemporary mystery novel, The Caretakers - A Sonoma County Mystery, will be published in Spring, 2025.
Current projects include research for an article on the architectural significance of a local church, the completion of a women’s fiction novel, a second children's story, and the second compilation of seasonal haiku and tanka into a chapbook.
